Loaded Brush is a place to share miniature painting, swap tips and get better together. These guidelines apply to everything you post: posts, photos, comments, your profile, and pages you create or run. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account restricted (see What happens if you break the guidelines).
Be good to each other
- Give feedback on the painting, not the painter. "Try thinning your basecoat" helps. "This looks like a 5-year-old painted it" doesn't.
- Everyone started as a beginner. No gatekeeping.
- Disagree about brands and techniques all you like, but stay civil.
The hobby is welcome
Painted gore, skulls, daemons, grimdark dioramas and battle scenes are part of the hobby and are allowed. Real-world graphic violence is not.
Never allowed
We have zero tolerance for the following. Any of these can mean an immediate permanent ban.
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation. Any content that sexualises a child, and any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes. We report it to the UK National Crime Agency.
- Threats of violence against anyone.
- Targeted hate against people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability, including hate symbols and extremist imagery.
- Evading a ban with a new account.
Not allowed
- Sexual content and nudity, including sexualised miniatures shown explicitly. Sharing intimate images of anyone without consent is never allowed.
- Suicide, self-harm and eating disorders: content that encourages, promotes or explains how to do these. If you're struggling, you can talk to Samaritans any time on 116 123 (UK).
- Harassment and bullying: insults, pile-ons, repeatedly targeting someone, or sharing someone's private information (doxxing).
- Violence and dangerous content: real-world graphic violence, or encouraging dangerous activities (including eating, drinking or inhaling hobby materials).
- Scams and fraud: fake shops or giveaways, phishing, "DM me for cheap paints".
- Illegal or regulated goods: drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or sexual services.
- Spam: repeated posts, link-dropping, bots, or fake engagement.
- Impersonation and false brand claims: pretending to be someone else, or claiming to be "official" or endorsed by Games Workshop, Citadel or any other brand.
- Harmful false information that could hurt people.
- Other people's creative work: box art, official product photos, or anyone else's art or photos without permission.
- Selling between users beyond a one-off mention of your own small project.
Pages
If you create a page, you can set extra rules for it, but your rules can't allow anything these guidelines forbid. Page names can't claim to be official or use brand logos. We can remove a page or its moderators if a page breaks the guidelines or ignores reports.
Reporting and blocking
- Report any post, comment, profile or page from its menu. Choose the reason that fits best (see the appendix).
- We review reports within 24–48 hours, and child-safety and self-harm reports first. Content with several reports, or a serious report, may be hidden while we look at it.
- We'll tell you when we've acted on your report. We won't tell the person who reported them.
- You can block anyone so neither of you sees the other, and hide posts from your feed.
What happens if you break the guidelines
- Warning and removal of the content.
- 7-day posting ban: you can still read, but can't post or comment.
- 30-day suspension of your account.
- Permanent ban if you break the guidelines again after a 30-day suspension.
Anything in Never allowed can lead straight to a permanent ban.

Options in bold are treated as serious: the content is hidden straight away and reviewed first.
