Got a shelf full of paints? Point your phone's camera at each pot's label and Loaded Brush finds it in the catalogue. Then add all your scanned paints to your palette in one go.
Scan your paints
In the Loaded Brush app
- Tap the Palette tab.
- Tap the camera button next to Paint search.
- The first time, your phone asks for permission to use the camera. Allow it.
- Hold a paint pot so its label fills the middle of the screen.
- When Loaded Brush recognises the paint, its card appears on screen and it's added to your scanned paints.
- Tap Tap to add another, then scan the next pot.
Add your scanned paints to your palette
In the Loaded Brush app
- Tap the scanned paints button at the top of the scanner. A number shows how many paints you've scanned.
- Check the list on the Scanned paints screen. Tap the remove button on any paint you don't want.
- To add only some paints, tick them. Leave them all unticked to add every paint in the list.
- Tap Add to palette.
You'll see a message such as 3 Paints added to your palette. Tap Undo if you added them by mistake.
If it finds the wrong paint
Tap the remove button on the paint's card. This takes it out of your scanned paints. Then tap Manual search, find the right paint, tap the + button on its card, and tap Add to scan list.
Use the torch or turn off the sound
Tap the settings button at the top of the scanner. Turn Torch on to light up the label, or turn Sound off to scan quietly.
If the camera doesn't open
If you see Allow camera access to scan the paint label., tap Allow camera. If you said no before, you need to turn the camera on in your phone's settings. See Allow camera and photo access.
